Having just returned from a small group (6 pax),13 day tour of Tasmania with Robert, I would highly recommend this company to anyone wanting a comprehensive travel experience.Combining excellent driving with superior local knowledge, Robert navigated not just some challenging roads but also the bushfire events around the island. The amount of planning, checking and confirming that goes in to any group tour was further challenged by having to change the tour route and secure alternate accommodation.Robert managed everything seamlessly; we always knew when & where we needed to be, what was happening that day and when and where we would be stopping along the way. I am a tourism professional with 15 years experience and as a single traveller who usually travels independently, I have rarely been able to 'hand over' to another company with such confidence. This was a first for me!
It's been more than a month since I returned home to Canada from Australia & I'm still finding friends & relatives to rave to about my experience with Fun Tassie Tours. They do a superb job of creating a memorable holiday for their guests.I went on the 6 day tour of Tasmania. It was an experiment for me, being more than 75 years old & recently widowed. My husband & I had traveled a lot over the years but never on guided tours. The small group Fun Tassie tour turned out to be a perfect choice for me. I enjoyed every moment of the tour from the time I was picked up by Robert on the first morning until I was dropped off on the last evening. The other travelers were friendly & fun to be with. Who wouldn't be? We were all having such a good time! Fun Tassie Tours set a very high bar for any other tour companies in my future.
It's been a lovely trip to Tasmania with Robert leading the group to share so much about Tasmania's wildlife, culture, history and food etc! Varied tour experiences were authentic and very Australian-style, with the signature afternoon teas outdoors and in-house BBQ dinner by our awesome and professional guide, Robert. Thumbs up! :PTravelling solo in a small group is comfortable, good for taking in the sights & getting to know people while on the move. Appreciate Robert and Morgan for all the seamless planning and taking good care of me and the group throughout. Tasmania is really a beautiful pristine island of Australia and really worth spending time to visit again! :)
I did the 5 day Hobart to Cradle Mountain trip with Rob and Morgan in early December & had an excellent time; they were friendly, very knowledgeable, curteous & obviously love the work they do. There was so much to see & do, many great memories & new contacts made. Thanks guys!
Robert is a great guide and driver. He is also the owner of the company. He has curated a really amazing itinerary of Tasmania and don't think there are any in the market that can match up. The accommodations were great and at the right locations. The meals were on point and perfect to give you a taste of local cuisine.And Robert is so knowledgeable, nice and fun. I also liked that he would incorporate other stops or adjust if need be. You will be taken care off on this tour believe me and I highly recommend it.
